In a letter published by the Guardian, over 100 artists from Europe and further afield have supported the Palestinian appeal to boycott Eurovision next year.

The letter states that the undersigned - which includes celebrities ranging from Roger Waters, to Brian Eno, and Alia Shawkat - support the appeal launched by Palestinian artists to boycott the 2019 Eurovision song contest "until Palestinians can enjoy freedom, justice, and equal rights".

The letter, which can be read in full through the link below, continues to state that the Israeli army killed 62 unarmed Palestinian protesters just days after winning the Eurovision song contest in 2018. The artists call for the contest to be moved to another country "with a better human rights record."
