Artist with Song/Project

Eligibility Criteria for Artists:

Artists must:

• → Meet the Luxembourgish selection criteria, which include:
  
  1. Hold Luxembourgish nationality; or
  2. Have resided in Luxembourg for at least three consecutive years; or
  3. Demonstrate strong cultural involvement and a proven connection with the Luxembourgish music scene. This includes active national engagement in musical practice and regular collaboration with recognised cultural institutions and actors within Luxembourg.

  → Be at least 18 years old by 24.01.2026. For candidates who have not reached legal majority, parental or legal guardian consent and support may be required during the LSC preparation phase,
  → Possess live singing abilities and feel comfortable performing on a large stage,
  → Be fully available and flexible between November 2025 and May 2026 for auditions, rehearsals, promotional activities, photo shoots, coaching sessions, interviews, TV appearances, concerts, and other related events,
  → Each artist may submit up to 3 entries.

Song/Project Requirements:

• → Must not exceed three minutes in duration;
• → The songs (lyrics and music compositions) submitted must be original and must not have been released and/or publicly performed in part or in full before 01.09.2025.
• → May be in any language.
• → A maximum of six people are allowed on stage, including dancers and backing singers.

Artist without Song/Project

Luxembourgish artists without a song/project are encouraged to connect with national and international songwriters by registering on a team-up list.

Eligibility Criteria:

To register for the artist team-up list, artists must:

• → Meet the Luxembourgish selection criteria, which include:
• 1. Hold Luxembourgish nationality; or
  2. Have resided in Luxembourg for at least three consecutive years; or
  3. Demonstrate strong cultural involvement and a proven connection with the Luxembourgish music scene. This includes active national engagement in musical practice and regular collaboration with recognized cultural institutions and actors within Luxembourg.

Contact details for those registered on the team-up list will be shared with the songwriters team-up list, creating opportunities for creative partnerships. Contact must be established directly between the artists and the songwriters: RTL will not be involved in this process.

→ Artist meeting the Luxembourgish eligibility criteria can participate in both steps (apply with and/or without a song).

Once a song/project is created through collaboration, it can be submitted via the standard registration process by 21.09.2025.

Songwriter without Artist

Deadline : 03.08.2025

Songwriters are invited to get in touch with Luxembourgish artists by registering for a team-up list.

Eligibility Criteria:

Can register for the songwriter team-up list:

→ Any songwriter, national or international, who wishes to write or propose a song for the LSC/ESC 2026.

Contact details for the songwriters registered on the team-up list will be shared with the artist team-up list, creating opportunities for creative partnerships. Contact must be established directly between the artists and the songwriters: RTL will not be involved in this process.

Once a song/project is created through collaboration, it can be submitted via the standard registration process by 21.09.2025.
