Voting at the Luxembourg Song Contest for the 69th Eurovision Song Contest
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The voting of the Luxembourg Song Contest, including its voting functions, to which these Terms and Conditions of participation apply, is offered by
RTL Luxembourg
43, Bd Pierre Frieden
1543 Kirchberg
Luxembourg (hereinafter "RTL").
Members of the public from all over the world can vote in the Luxembourg Song Contest (hereinafter "Voters", "Participants" or "You") by voting online. All persons over the age of 14 are eligible to participate. RTL is entitled to exclude individuals from participation if there are justified reasons, such as a violation of these Terms and Conditions of participation. In addition, eight international juries will evaluate the performances and award points.
During the live broadcast of the Luxembourg Song Contest on 25.01.2025 from 20:00 on RTL, the audience can participate in the vote by means of online paid voting via the website www.esc.vote.
By participating in the vote, You accept these Terms and Conditions of participation and agree to abide by the rules set out here. There will be one voting round during the live show on 25.01.2025.
- The voting begins at the start of the first performance of the live show on 25.01.2025 and ends approx. 20 minutes after the end of the last performance. Each participant can cast up to 20 votes per transaction. Every payment method can be used for a maximum number of 5 transactions. Participation in the online voting costs €0.99 per vote.
- Your votes are converted into points.
- The result of the jury voting will be converted into the 12-point system of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). Each international expert jury will award their points based on the evaluation of the jurors as follows:
- 12 points will be awarded to the entry that received the highest rating;
- 10 points will be awarded to the entry that received the second highest rating;
- 8 points will be awarded to the entry that received the third highest rating;
- 6 points will be awarded to the entry that received the fourth highest rating;
- 4 points will be awarded to the entry that received the fifth highest rating;
- 2 points will be awarded to the entry that received the sixth best rating;
- 0 points will be awarded to the entry that received the seventh best rating.
The eight international expert juries will award a total of 336 points in the voting.
- For the result of the audience vote, the votes from all online votes are evaluated. In order to achieve a weighting of 50%, the same number of points will be awarded in the audience voting as in the jury voting. The audience will award 336 points. The number of points that an entry receives depends on the respective proportional share of the votes cast. For example, if a song receives 25% from the audience, it will receive 25% of the total available points. This would result in 84 points (25% of 336 points equals 84 points).
- The points of the juries and the audience are added up. The results are not weighted in favor of a particular group, i.e. half of the individual results are included in the final result. The entry with the most points will be declared the winner.
- Participation in the vote is not a competition and no prize will be awarded to the participants. Participants shall each bear their own costs and expenses incurred and/or arising from their participation in the Voting and use of the Voting Services, including (without limitation) telecommunications, network and all other fees and expenses incurred during or in connection with the Voting. No reimbursement may be claimed from RTL or any other broadcaster involved in the voting.
- Votes outside the specified voting round (as announced by RTL and which may be changed from time to time) will not be taken into account in determining the final voting result. Voting eligibility is at the sole discretion of RTL.
- RTL reserves the right to discard and/or cancel votes or suspend voting and/or the Voting Service if it has reason to believe that fraudulent voting has taken place or votes have been cast through abuse, a backdoor or error or if it believes that an attempt has been made to manipulate the voting and/or the Voting Service.
If the online voting system fails for any reason, RTL is also entitled to carry out a retraction, annulment or reset of the votes cast up to that point or to create a contingency plan at its own discretion and at any time.
- The decision of RTL in respect of all matters relating to the Votes and/or the Voting shall be final.

- These Terms and Conditions of participation are subject to German law.
- Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions of Participation be or become invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions of Participation. The same applies if and insofar as a loophole is found in these Terms and conditions of participation.
