On Friday, the host city for next year's Eurovision Song Contest was confirmed following Sweden's win in May.

The city of Malmö will host the 2024 edition of Eurovision, as the Swedish television channel responsible for broadcasting the mega-event announced on Friday.

Luxembourg is set to return to the song contest next year after a 30-year absence. The selection process for candidates launched earlier this week, with shortlisted acts participating in a grand national pre-selection event at the Rockhal on 27 January 2024.

The winning act will then go on to represent the Grand Duchy in Sweden on 11 May.
