We’ve got a quick bonus – one could even say 'a sample-sized bite' – of the contestants behind-the-scenes at RTL City, in this extra episode from RTL’s Eurovision podcast.

Now that we've been invited for a first listen to all eight of the songs submitted for the Luxembourg Song Contest, Chrissi Welter takes us on a whirlwind talking tour — where almost all of the finalists make cameos.

From the catering table and the glam chair to group hang-outs between what has increasingly become one big family, this bonus episode brings you into an off-the-cuff experience of the finalists as they emerge from shooting their 'postcards'.

What is a Eurovision 'postcard', exactly? It's the stylish, informative, and finalist-specific video shown before each candidate takes the center stage at the Luxembourg Song Contest Finale.

Listen in as they emerge from a long morning of work — in costumes that span the gamut from glittery and glam to bondage and black — dazed and chipper but happy to chat. They discuss the sudden experience of being launched into the greater Eurovision atmosphere, where they discover that they have fan pages with dedicated commentators as far away as Azerbaijan and Sweden.

They talk through whether they want to experience the sensation of singing onstage when the time comes, or if they’d prefer a classic out-of-body experience. Some say, "I want to live it!" while others are just ready to go with the flow.

But the greatest dream of all, they agree, is a completely sold-out show at the main hall in Rockhal. However, as CHAiLD points out, they've already done it — with tickets to the Luxembourg Song Contest on 27 January at Rockhal selling out in just a matter of hours.
