Rockhal's Main Hall has been abuzz with activity since last week as preparations for the highly anticipated Luxembourg Song Contest reach their peak.
With just two days left before the event, the venue is a hive of activity, with flashes of lights and the sounds of hammers resonating in every corner. The concerted effort is evident as the technical teams laboriously set up the elaborate stage, a meticulous process that has been in the planning stages for months.
While artists engage in final rehearsals, the production team has been working tirelessly on the Luxembourg Song Contest (LSC) project for several months. Last Saturday marked the official start of stage setup, as the first lorries rolled into the Rockhal Main Hall.
As the spotlight shifts to the upcoming Saturday evening, anticipation builds over who will represent Luxembourg for the country's return to the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö.
The production has received about 100 press accreditations. Approximately 1,500 people will have the opportunity to take their seats in the stands this weekend, immersing themselves in the diverse worlds presented by the contestants. The stage, alongside intricate light installations and video art, aims to transport the audience into captivating realms.
For an in-depth look at the preparations, our colleagues from RTL Télé documented the behind-the-scenes work on stage and in the Club Hall, where the singers rehearse, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

What's next at the Luxembourg Song Contest?
In an interview with RTL Télé, Head of Delegation Eric Lehmann shared insights into the upcoming schedule for the eight finalists and production teams at the LSC, shedding light on the preparations and what lies ahead post-event.
Lehmann detailed the ongoing activities at Rockhal, stating, "Currently, we are focused on the final preparations and last rehearsals with the candidates in their designated outfits. The entire stage set undergoes a thorough check, discussions ensue, and all the lights are meticulously adjusted in coordination with the candidates' outfits. Additionally, choreography rehearsals are crucial to ensure seamless execution."
Addressing Luxembourg's relatively small size, Lehmann noted, "The LSC is not as small as you might think. In fact, I had a chat with the Head of Delegation from Sweden, known for their grand preliminary events. They mentioned that the stage here at Rockhal is comparable, if not larger, than the one used in Sweden. Not the Eurovision stage, of course, but the one used for their preliminary round."
When discussing Luxembourg's aspirations for Eurovision, Lehmann expressed optimism, stating, "Our goal is at least to reach the final, which would be a significant achievement. If we manage to secure a top 10 finish, that would be a great gift."
Looking ahead to what's next, Lehmann explained, "On 30 January, it will be determined whether Luxembourg will participate in the first or second semi-final. To proceed to the grand final on Saturday, 11 May, we must secure a spot among the top ten countries."
