Luxembourg's TALI, fresh from winning the national song contest, is set to perform in the highly anticipated first semifinal of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö on 7 May, aiming to add a sixth victory to the Grand Duchy's illustrious ESC history.
Luxembourg Song Contest winner TALI will perform in the first semifinal of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö on 7 May. The draws for the competition, which were announced on Tuesday, further revealed that 'Fighter' will be heard in the second half of the semifinal, alongside the songs from Slovenia, Iceland, Finland, Portugal, Australia, Azerbaijan, and Moldova.

ESC presenters Farah Abadi a Pernilla Månsson Colt argue that performers in the second half of the first semifinal have the best chances of qualifying for the big show on 11 May. The exact running order is still to be determined, which producers will set according to the style of each song and the work required from stage designers.
The Grand Duchy has already won the competition five times and, despite its more than 30-year absence, remains the third-most successful participant in ESC history. Only Sweden and Ireland have more wins.
The so-called Big Five of the competition – Sweden, Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, and Spain – are automatically qualified for the final.
