Luxembourg's Eurovision adventure continues! Today the country officially announces its Eurovision 2025 participation in Switzerland, with registrations now open for interested singers to compete.

After the great success of Luxembourg's comeback at the international music contest this year, it is now official that Luxembourg will again send a song to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2025.

Registrations are open until 6 October 2024 and an international expert jury will select the best candidates during auditions.

Selected candidates will compete at the Luxembourg Song Contest, where the winning song will be chosen to represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Switzerland.

Luxembourg returned to the Eurovision Song Contest in May after a 31-year hiatus. Earlier this year, eight singers and bands were selected from around 200 candidates to compete at the 'Luxembourg Song Contest' in the Rockhal. Tali won with the song "Fighter" and represented Luxembourg in Malmö, finishing in 13th place.

Conditions to participate

Artists must:

  • Be at least 16 years old on 1 January, 2025
  • Have Luxembourg nationality, have lived in Luxembourg for 3 consecutive years, or be anchored in the Luxembourg cultural scene
  • Be available between November 2024 and May 2025
  • Be able to sing live on stage
  • If competing as a band or group, at least one member must meet these previous conditions

Song requirements:

  • Maximum length of 3 minutes
  • Must not have been published or publicly performed before 1 September, 2024
  • Each artist/group can enter up to 5 songs
  • Must be an original composition
  • Language is freely selectable
