Auditions for the Luxembourg Song Contest (LSC) kicked off on Friday, with contestants presenting original songs to an international jury in hopes of securing a spot in January's final at the Rockhal.
As auditions started on Friday, contestants had the opportunity to present their songs to an international jury. This year, entry were very varied, spanning styles from rock to pop ballads and grand performances Each singer aimed to prove they were the right choice for the Luxembourg Song Contest, which will take place in January at the Rockhal.
At that grand event, the public will also vote to decide who will represent Luxembourg at next year’s ESC in Basel. A new rule this year requires artists to bring their own original song.
Friday’s auditions included a mix of established singers, newcomers, and familiar faces from 2024's LSC. Saturday marks the second day of auditions. Out of the 135 applicants, 53 contestants in total will present their song to the jury over those two days.
