The 22nd edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, under the motto "Let's Bloom," took place this Saturday, 16 November. Georgian Andria Putkaradze was crowned the winner of an evening filled with cheer and talent.
Georgia was this year's winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, as Andria Putkaradze, accompanied by young dancer Gabriel Machabeli, captured all hearts with the song "To My Mum".
Putkaradze won the 22nd edition of the Junior ESC with 239 points, receiving the most points from both the public and the international jury.
Portugal came in second place with 213 points, their best result yet, ahead of Ukraine in third place with 203.
Georgia is the record winner of the Junior ESC with four wins so far.
In an exciting two-hour show, young singers aged 9 to 14 took the stage in Madrid to perform their songs. The audience and a jury voted for the best performance.
12 of the 17 juries gave Andria the maximum 12 points.

Spain, who finished as runner-up in last year's singing contest for young ESC participants, hosted this year's event in Madrid at the renowned multi-use complex, Caja Mágica. France declined to host the Junior ESC again after holding two editions in just three years.
The show was presented in English, with Luxembourgish commentary provided by Raoul Roos and Eric Lehmann.
