Luzac, a 27-year-old musician and educator, is one of seven finalists competing in the Luxembourg Song Contest on 25 January, aiming for a chance to represent the country at Eurovision in Basel.

Luzac, or Lucas in real life, is 27 years old and has been a passionate musician since the tender age of eight when he first saw High School Musical. The young man with Luxembourgish, Belgian, and Tunisian roots describes himself as a "musical chameleon" with a passion for all types of genres, ranging from pop to rap and country.

Aside from going to the gym three times a week, Luzac spends a lot of time at home in his creative room, the place where all of his musical creations first see the light of day. It is also the space where he takes care of his social media content or plays video games to wind down, if ever he needs a break from music.

Now Luzac is one of seven finalists to compete in the Luxembourg Song Contest (LSC) at Rockhal on 25 January, ultimately vying for a ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel. His entry song is called Je Danse and was composed together with last year's LSC finalist Edsun during a Rockhal songwriting camp.

Luzac, who has a twin brother, works in Strassen as an educator, a career path he does not regret in the slightest. His friends and relatives know him as a team player.

Sometimes he manages to connect his private and professional lives by taking youths along into the studio. However, in the next couple of weeks Luzac will have to strike a balance between his work as an educator and his ambitions to make it to Basel. Time off work might be needed should he win the LSC, but that is a concern for the future, according to the young musician.
