Alexia Rodrigues, performing under the artist name MÄNA, is the youngest finalist in the Luxembourg Song Contest 2025, where she will compete with her heartfelt track Human Eyes, inspired by a recent personal journey.
Her actual name is Alexia Rodrigues, but her artist name is a tribute to her grandmother, who was called Mena.
Music has been an integral part of Alexia's life for a very long time: she always loved singing and learned to play the flute and the violin at the Regional School of Music (Ecole Régionale de Musique) in Dudelange. She already competed in the Luxembourg Song Contest last year, and although she did not go through, she sees it as a good thing. She now considers herself more mature and has been able to develop her project in the last few months.
However, music is not the only art form that Alexia uses to express herself. She attended the arts section at Lycée de Garçons in Esch-sur-Alzette, where she was able to discover her own style in visual art, which she describes as abstract and full of lines. She thus combines painting with her passion for music by designing the covers of her own albums.
Alexia also has a knack for sports, regularly dancing zumba in Lamadeleine. By staying active with her friends in the dance course, Alexia sees this hobby as a way to escape from the stress of her daily life.
Alexia is the youngest of the seven finalists of the Luxembourg Song Contest 2025 and is competing with her song Human Eyes. Inspiration for the song was a separation she recently went through. The song was consequently produced by Mattias Skantze and Robin Larsson, whom she met on the auditions for the LSC 2024.
Alexia is currently studying in Bastogne, Belgium, to be a primary school teacher and has her university exams in January right before taking the stage of the LSC.
