Fans in Schifflange are gearing up for a four-day celebration of the Eurovision Song Contest this weekend, with public screenings, live entertainment, and special workshops honouring hometown star Laura Thorn.
A vibrant Eurovision village is set to take over Schifflange this weekend, with four days of festivities planned to celebrate the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest. At the heart of the event will be public screenings of the contest and daily creative workshops hosted by RTL.
The event, running from 15–18 May, will include street food, live entertainment, and fan activities, culminating in public screenings of the Eurovision performances. The initiative aims to unite the local community – especially as Schifflange native Laura Thorn represents Luxembourg in this year's competition in Basel.
RTL will be on-site throughout the weekend with a special offering for younger visitors. Each day, children can take part in a creative workshop where they will craft their very own Laura Thorn doll. The workshops are open during the following times:
- Thursday, 15 May: 6–7.45pm
- Friday, 16 May: 6–8pm
- Saturday, 17 May: 2–4pm
- Sunday, 18 May: 2–4pm
Organisers expect a strong turnout from local fans eager to support Laura, whose hometown pride is adding extra energy to the festivities. More details on the full event program are available at schifflange.lu.
