Great news for Eurovision lovers: registration is now open for Luxembourg's biggest music competition!

The Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 will take place on 24 January 2026 at Rockhal in Belval, where the Grand Duchy's next Eurovision representative will be chosen.

Connecting artists with songwriters and composers

A new feature of this year's contest is also a contact list that allows artists to connect with songwriters and composers.

Luxembourg artists looking for inspiration, or songwriters looking for performers, are therefore encouraged to sign up for creative partnerships.

Note that eligible artists can both register as contestants with their own songs as well as team up with local and/or international songwriters.

The deadline for this contact list is 3 August 2025 at midnight.

How to register

The registration process is straightforward: contestants can apply to audition by filling out the registration form on the official LSC website until 21 September 2025.

Artists may submit up to three songs or 'projects' in any language, each under three minutes and not publicly released before 1 September 2025. All submissions must include live singing components, with no more than six performers on stage.

However, aspiring artists do need to consider certain eligibility criteria, as they must be:

  • at least 18 years old by 24 January 2026;
  • a Luxembourgish national, have lived in Luxembourg for at least three consecutive years, or demonstrate a strong connection to the Luxembourg music scene;
  • available for LSC and ESC commitments from November 2025 through May 2026;
  • capable of performing live on a large stage.

Auditions are due to take place in October 2025 in front of an international jury of Eurovision experts, while finalists will be unveiled by late October.
