The Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) is marking its 70th anniversary with a new logo and refreshed identity, ahead of the 2026 edition which will be hosted in Austria.

Organisers unveiled the redesigned logo on Monday, featuring a simplified design, its own typeface, and a more dynamic "E". The heart remains at the centre of the identity, symbolising both the logo and the competition itself, as the organisers explained.

For this special anniversary edition, a 3D version of the heart will be introduced, composed of 70 layers to represent each of the past contests.

ESC Director Martin Green stated that the contest has always been about evolution – in music, culture, and creativity – and that this renewal both celebrates seven decades of history and positions the brand for an exciting future.

The new identity was developed by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) in collaboration with the UK-based branding studio PALS, which also worked on the strategy for the 2023 contest in Liverpool.

Over the coming months, the refreshed branding will become increasingly visible, accompanied by further activities and surprises in the run-up to the landmark anniversary.
