On Wednesday, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster ORF announced that Austria's capital has been selected.
Under the slogan United By Music, the finale will be held on 16 May 2026 at the Wiener Stadthalle, with semi-finals held earlier the same week on Tuesday 12 May and Thursday 14 May.
The decision followed in-depth discussions between the EBU, ORF, and the two bidding cities, Vienna and Innsbruck.
Vienna convinced the organisers with its central location, excellent infrastructure, and previous hosting experience in 1967 and 2015.
Austria is hosting thanks to JJ's victory at Eurovision 2025 in Basel. Next May, Vienna will welcome the entire Eurovision community.
Luxembourg will also return: on 24 January 2026, the Luxembourg Song Contest will determine who will represent the Grand Duchy on the Eurovision stage.
