The countdown has begun for the Luxembourg Song Contest (LSC), which will select the nation’s Eurovision entry on 24 January 2026 at Rockhal. The winner will go on to represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna this May.
The major live television event, themed “Your time to shine”, promises an evening of highlights, international flair, and great musical moments.
Eight candidates will compete on the big stage: three female soloists, four male soloists, and one band. For each, the performance represents a unique opportunity to showcase their talent to a national audience and seize a potentially career-defining moment.
The evening will once again be steered by the popular RTL presenting duo Raoul Roos and Loïc Juchem, recognised for their professional and engaging style. They will be joined this year by a prominent new co-host: Luxembourgish actress Hana Sofia Lopes. Known for her roles in film and television across Luxembourg, Portugal, and Germany, Lopes is set to bring an extra layer of international glamour to the LSC gala.
With the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest being held in Vienna, the LSC will incorporate Viennese and Austrian thematic elements. The show will also celebrate a major milestone: the 70th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest itself.
Further surprises are planned, including special performances by stars from the Eurovision world and other Luxembourgish artists. The identities of these guest performers remain under wraps for now, with announcements scheduled for a later date.
Advance tickets for the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 are now on sale. Organisers advise those wishing to attend the live event at Rockhal not to delay securing their seats. Tickets can be purchased via the official Rockhal website: www.rockhal.lu.
The winning act will be selected through a combination of public televoting and the verdict of an international jury comprised of experts from eight different countries. This dual voting system is designed to ensure suspense throughout the live broadcast.
One outcome is assured: the evening will be a major television event where the spotlight will firmly be on the competing artists, offering them precisely what the contest’s slogan promises – Your time to shine.
