This summer, Rocklab is transforming into a vibrant hub for songwriters with a three-day Eurovision Songwriting Camp, offering unique opportunities for creative collaboration and professional growth.

Rocklab, the educational branch of Rockhal, is set to become the creative hub for aspiring songwriters this summer thanks to a three-day Eurovision Songwriting Camp. Scheduled to be held at Rocklab Studio from 27–30 September, this event offers a golden opportunity for international and local songwriters, topliners, and producers to collaborate and create songs for next year's Luxembourg Song Contest and the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.

Participants will work in small groups to create new songs each day while receiving guidance from experienced professionals. Each day will kick off with morning briefings designed to inspire and provide valuable knowledge and resources for career development. The camp also offers a unique networking opportunity for participants.

Organised with the support of the Arts Council Luxembourg and Sacem Luxembourg, in association with FLAC and The Grund Club Luxembourg, the event aims to highlight the best musical talents of the Grand Duchy.

Professional guidance

The camp facilitators are Greig Watts and Imad Eljattari, who will lead the course alongside a list of international producers, songwriters, and topliners.

Watts is a member of the UK-based writing, production, and publishing team DWB and has hosted several successful songwriting camps. He has been involved in no fewer than 14 Eurovision entries across nine consecutive years and served as the music consultant for the Eurovision Song Contest for the BBC in 2019.

Imad Eljattari is also known for organising international songwriting camps and sessions. His extensive experience as a songwriter and publisher has led to significant successes in national finals across Europe and Asia. Notably, Eljattari was a driving force behind the song Devil in the Detail, which Luxembourg band One Last Time performed at the Luxembourg Song contest last year.
