Saturday marked the second day of auditions to select candidates for the Luxembourg Song Contest, where they will compete for the chance to secure Luxembourg's spot in Eurovision 2025 in Basel.

After Friday's initial auditions, the search for the perfect LSC songs continued on Saturday, as the jury evaluated an even greater lineup of songs and candidates. Across both days, they listened to nearly 80 songs – a challenging feat, especially considering 135 artists registered to compete.

The candidates, each connected to Luxembourg or Luxembourgish culture, represented 12 different nationalities and performed in English, French, German, and Luxembourgish. Along known faces who had participated in last year's LSC, auditions introduced many new faces and even brought some unexpected surprises.

This year's new rule required artists to present their own Eurovision-style song. The diversity in style and quality of the performances impressed the organisers, who were pleased with the results.

"This year's strategic change, that artists could partake only with their original songs, worked out. 3 quarters of the songs that took part in the event were written with Luxembourgish participation." says David Gloesener, ESC-commissioner.

From this pool of candidates, only a dozen will be invited to the callbacks, where it will be decided which singers and which songs will participate in the Luxembourg Song Contest at the Rockhal on 25 January 2025.

The number and names of the finalists vying for the or a chance to represent Luxembourg at Eurovision will be announced in a week. names of the finalists will be announced in a week.

Until then, it's possible to take a look at all the artists that were on the RTL stage on 8–10 November, here, but without audio, as the songs are still confidential.
